Manchester Futsal prepare for matchday three of the National Futsal Series as they take on Team Birmingham at the Aldenham Sports Centre on Sunday.
The Blues have got off to a slow start after falling to defeats in their first two games against the likes of Loughborough and ProFutsal London and they will be aiming to right the wrongs of the previous weekends.
The Midlands based-outfit have come away with victories in both of their opening games against Kent and Worcester 4-1 respectively, aiming for a third straight win against Manchester
Head coach Sergi Saldana spoke with Manchesterfutsal.com about his thoughts and discussed his side's preparations for matchday three of the newly-reformed series.
"We have lost the first two games but we competed in both until the last second and we deserved more", said Saldana. "As a minimum against Loughborough. I am sure that playing at the same level we can win the game vs Birmingham."
"This year we have a very young team but I believe in them and I know that with them plus experienced players like Sam, Jordi or Edge it is possible to do a great season."
"If you realise, I've said experienced players and I've said Edge, a young player but he is competing in high-level many years and this is the way forward of the club; young players with eager for learn and training hard to demonstrate that they have the level to compete, no matter the age."
"The only thing I am a bit disappointed with is that we won't have King in that game despite he has got back from his injury. He is working on Sunday. We will need him this season so hopefully, he will play the next weekend."
The game gets underway at 12:40 pm at the Aldenham Sports Centre, Radlett
