Match Preview: Manchester Futsal Development vs Tranmere Rovers Development

by Lewis Wiseman

This Sunday at Belle Vue Leisure Centre, Manchester Futsal Development take on the travelling Tranmere Rovers Development side at 2:30pm.

The same two sides played last week in Tranmere, where Manchester were 11-4 victors.

Development team assistant coach, Steve Jackson says his side has focused on defending as a unit this week in training.

“We have been working hard on our defensive shape and discipline along with using our strengths on quick counter attacks.”

“I have been really pleased with the team's development this season, especially with so many young players in our squad as we continue to progress each week both at training and games,” Jackson says.

Manchester are currently on a good run or for, unbeaten in their last four matches, but Jackson has warned that this weekend will still be a competitive match.

“I was very impressed with Tranmere last weekend and they have one of the best coaches around in Damon Shaw. I am sure it will be another competitive game.”

Tranmere Rovers are currently 6th in the table and have only managed one point in their opening 6 games of the season, and the team will be fighting hard to turn that around.

A win would mean a lot for both teams which ensures the match will surely be a classic.
