Manchester Futsal Club welcomed staff from Umbro UK to the Sugden Sports Centre on 10 November for a futsal taster session and networking event. Twenty staff and management joined players from Manchester Futsal Club in a round-robin tournament to round off Umbro’s small-sided product launch that is scheduled for next year. The event was used to raise the profile of futsal throughout the company and to allow staff to engage with Manchester Futsal Club players about their interest in futsal and how Umbro can do more to support the club and UK futsal market.

Umbro are a renowned football brand in the UK with a strong links to futsal on an international level so the event looked at the plans Umbro has to support the development of small-sided football and futsal in the UK through apparel and equipment. Being a Manchester company Manchester Futsal Club hope to benefit from the relationship with Umbro moving forward and will continue to run the highly successful Umbro International Futsal Cup to establish it as a leading club tournament for futsal teams from around the world.

Speaking at the event Manchester Futsal Club General Manager was delighted with the discussions that took place “I think the staff enjoyed the insight to the club and the opportunity to see what we are all about. Umbro are moving forward and are an exciting brand to be working with. We hope that this is the beginning of more futsal related work with the company”.
